Our Background
iHookie Academy was created by dad, Chima Oforeh, who wanted to give his child an excellent Python coding foundation. After researching about many coding classes and was dissatisfied with their approaches, he started this academy that focuses on teaching kids the core of programing, syntaxes and problem solving methodoligies.
Our Approach
Our focus is Python coding language because of its beginner-friendly syntax, efficiency, and applicability to a wide range of use cases. Our program is designed for kids 6 years and older, regardless of their coding experience.
- Our program is carefully planned and individualized for each child. It is a proven self-learning program that gives your child the logical thinking skills and mindset to learn new materials independently.
- Kids practice syntax writing and coding assignments everyday (writing the syntax on paper). Your child develops at their own pace. No matter what academic level, your child will advance through the tailored training at his or her own speed.
- With our program, your child's talents in the classroom and throughout life are enhanced. At approprite ages, we are confident that your kids will get powerful internship programs in fortune 500 compaines. Your child will also build websites, apps, games and other software solutions that will be beneficial to the world.
Our Program Structure
Our program has 6 levels. Upon enrolling, we will test your child and place them in the appropriate level. Associate being the beginner class and Distinguished being the highest level. The average duration for each level is 7 months.

Additionally, we promote these to foster a progressive learning environment:
- Hands-on projects: Encourage kids to create small projects, like games or quizzes, to reinforce learning and showcase their skills.
